It's hard to believe it's already November! I'm already seeing migratory birds daily, coming to my stream and ponds to bathe and refresh themselves before heading further south, or deciding this is the perfect place to stay a while.... it's hard to tell which since there are so many coming and going. This week the new arrivals are Palm Warblers, Black & White Warblers, Yellow Rump Warblers, Catbirds, Goldfinches, Chipping Sparrows, more and more Painted Buntings, both male and female, and many others who have summered in the yard.
I've tried to get pictures of them, but because my yard has so successfully grown thick rich shrubbery and trees, it's hard to focus on the birds amongst the leaves. I finally got a few cameos, this one is a Pine Warbler sitting on the stream bed, scoping out the bathing situation.

Well now I know for sure where all my little friends have left the tundra here to winter. Be sure to send them back this way in the spring! :)
